The dry stoner is used in milling industry to eliminate from cereal stones and heavy impurities. The great degree of separation of cereal prepares it to the next cleaning process.
The granular product enters the machine from the feed bin. It, uniformly distributed by vibration of the inclined selection table, is carried in suspension by an ascending current which allows it to flow towards the lower part.
At this point the heavier parts are separated from cereal since their weight prevents the air current to raise them from the frame, so they move towards the lateral outlet hoppers. The cereal is perfectly visible from the outside. The air depression is easy to check by means of a manometer.
